Eric Tachibana's Resume - Applications Development

At the end of 1996, the National Center for Human Genome Research (NCHGR), decided to drop the use of Lotus Notes as their groupware standard in favor of a web-based intranet. As webmaster, I has the pleasure of being asked to replicate the functionality of Lotus Notes on the web to the best of my ability.

In a matter of months I was able to develop CGI-based versions of a groupware calendar, a bulletin/discussion board, a sitewide keyword search engine, and helped in the development of a real-time chat program. These applications have been heavily used for a multitude of intranet applications.

As with all of my work, script text and working examples are available as public domain freeware at Selena Sol's Public Domain Scripts Archive
